EBAday 2026 is behind us and what a two days it was. For another year, Unifits was on the ground in Copenhagen as exhibitors at Europe’s premier summit for payments and transaction banking professionals, held at the Bella Centre on June 16 and 17. Over 1,400 industry professionals, 100+ speakers, and countless conversations that reminded us why this event remains one of the most important dates in the payments calendar.
Back where the industry meets
Copenhagen proved to be a fitting host for EBAday’s 21st edition. As one of Europe’s most digitally advanced societies, where cash is rare, digital trust is high, and payments infrastructure is world class, the city set the tone for a forward looking agenda. The discussions on the show floor reflected exactly that ambition.
The themes dominating this year’s conversations were ones we live and breathe at Unifits: AI adoption in financial services, real-time payment infrastructure, the complexities of cross-border payments, ISO 20022 and what full migration really means in practice, and the bigger strategic question of what the payments playbook actually looks like in 2030. Whether in panel sessions, at our stand, or in the hallways between, these topics sparked some of the most substantive exchanges we have had in years. Familiar faces brought continuity and depth; new voices brought fresh perspectives and energy.
Our annual evening event
As every year, the conversations didn’t stop when the exhibition floor closed. For our annual evening event, we took it above the city, to the rooftops of Copenhagen, with sweeping views across the skyline. The weather had its own ideas, but that did little to dampen the atmosphere.
This year’s theme was a natural extension of what we do every day at Unifits: testing. In our world, testing is about rigour, precision, and forming well grounded opinions. So we applied that same methodology to whisky. A curated tasting session gave our guests the chance to slow down, compare, evaluate and debate. It was an evening of genuine connection, good conversation, and a few strongly held positions on single malts.
Thank you
Events like this don’t happen without a dedicated team. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Unifits who represented us in Copenhagen. Your commitment across both days, and into the evening, made this EBAday one to remember.
And of course, thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, joined us for the evening, or took the time to have a real conversation. These connections are what make EBAday worthwhile year after year.
Next stop: Rome 2027. We’ll see you there.
